Layered fractal, UF4.
Egg-sactly my cup of tea !!
Ha ha! THanks, Lauren!
THank you so much for the features, Deb! You know how much I appreciate it, but what's even nicer is the fact that my work is grouped together with some outstanding and extremely talented artists. When I see their work, I'm prodded to keep trying, learning, and doing better. Thank you for that incentive!
You go girl!!!! You are an excellent photographer. I am glad the features are inspiring you to go farther.
They are working wonders for my competitive spirit. I realize I have so much farther to go in digital art (and photography). Hope I make some real progress!
You are....I see it in your work. I always look for progress when I view other friends images. I find it inspiring and it helps me to be creative. You have an excellent eye for photography...that is why I began watching you. LOL....but your fractals look good also! hehehehe Can't make up my mind which I love more. That is a good thing! s
I hope mixing it up like that is OK. Sometimes, I feel that I'm not focused enough in either category, but I know myself too well. If I work in one area too long, I'll get bored and quit. So it's good to switch genres once in awhile!
Exacally. That is why you always see me doing the same thing. I like both, but need to change for a little bit. Good idea....I get really bored easily as well....lol....we are the dame...but different!
Thank you so much, Sophie! What a nice surprise to read this, as I just logged on at this late hour. The variety and beauty of fractals in the news article are astonishing; I never can quite believe we have such wonderful talent here at DA, but we do. Thanks again for posting this...it's a great idea!
Just beautiful Jean! This reminds me of the Russian Faberge` eggs....ornate and elaborate....love it!!
Thank you! layering did the trick in this case. The egg shapes were pretty dull and lifeless until I applied a few more layers, colors and designs, then it looked richer. I'm glad you like it.
I like this one too!!
Great shapes, Jean!
Thank you, Jenn. The eggs were pretty, but somewhat dull. They livened up a lot after I stuck a few varying layers together!
Really great work!!!
I love this one, Jean! Wonderful design and colors. Festive and beautiful!
Thank you. I really liked those egg shapes; the colors were pretty uninteresting at first, but again, layers made all the difference with coloring. There are so many ways to combine and blend!
awesome work and of course purple rocks.
TOOOOO COOL!! LOVE IT!!
Thank you! I like the way this one turned out myself. Glad you enjoy it, too.
The colours you used are simply gorgeous
Thank you so much. I love working with bright colors.
Beautifully created...love all those colors!
Thanks, Lori. I like the way the layers, when combined in different blends (like Photoshop, e.g.), can produce colors that aren't in any layer by itself. That's what happened here.
Wow. Jean. You are really going to town.
This is lovely!! Great colors!!
THank you so much, Ginny. This started out to be just another spiral, but after a few layers, it looked better!
I have to remember this one for next easter, I want to paint the eggs like this.
Thanks! I would LOVE to see those eggs. These have such an interesting design. Often when I'm doing layered fractals, I'll just come upon a particular combination of colors and shapes that is kind of interesting; this one is in the Faberge mode, I think. (did I spell that right?)
Wow..now that's an eye catcher for sure. Dy-no-mite!
