Artist's Comments

This lacy spiral design was created using UF4's Phoenix Julia formula with a Kaleidescope mapping function within the program. No post work.

Full view is best for this one; lots of wee details!

Thank you, Nance. I tried other colors, but kept returning to this shade of blue. Maybe it reminded me of Wedgewood, too! I gave my mother Wedgewood china collection pieces for various occasions, and she loved them. Now I have them in my china cabinet.

Thank you! I have been working with that kaleidescope mapping function a lot these days, but none were quite as pretty as this one. I'm partial to spirals, though!

Thank you very much for the compliment, Barbara. I hope people will get to see the full view, too. It's got a lot of details in it that get lost in the small view. I'm glad you like it!

Thank you very much, Ginny. You're right...there's a touch of winter there. I almost stuck winter in the title, but decided not to. But those are still cold colors, and not a hint of spring can be seen. These spirals are averse to too many colors...the gradient bands have to be 1 or 2 increments apart to create various hues, and it doesn't look that good anyhow. So I left them white!

Yes, the thumb doesn't do it justice. Please mention it in the artists comment . It's a pity if people only look at the preview.
