Artist's Comments

All vector work done in Inkscape (except signatures which were done in Photoshop CS). This took many, many hours to do...I lost count after awhile.

very cool composition. I like how you did your stars, I always seem to be able to mess them up and not even try. So, I don't try..

Thank you! Stars are really HARD to do right. I wasn't too happy with mine here, either...I figured the best way to do them was to vary the shape, size and brightness...but even so, they still look "not quite right." It's a challenge!

Thank you! I have to chuckle that vector art is so darned hard, takes so much time, and in the end, you get a "cartoon", in effect. But I have a feeling that much more can be done with it, so I'm going to try hard to master it.

Thank you! Yes, I used one of my butterflies as a model for this...I ended up making a lot of changes to the real image (with vector shapes), but essentially, the overall design is pretty much the same. It's amazingly difficult to get "clean" images that are somewhat convincing!

Thank you, Peggy. I think this is a bit primitive, but my drawings aren't the best in the world when it comes to using the tablet. The whole thing takes a lot of practice, but I'm going to stick with it.... who knows, maybe someday I'll get the hang of it all! There's still so much I don't know about this art form.
