All vector work done in Inkscape (except signatures which were done in Photoshop CS). This took many, many hours to do...I lost count after awhile.
Thank you so much for this, and all the features, Silky. I really do appreciate your support for my work, especially with the difficult circumstances you're working under now (lots of pain!). I just now returned from your page and read all about your troubles. I can't do anything but pray that you'll get better and/or will at least get rid of some of that pain. I hope everything will go well with the doctor!
Wow!!! Two features instead of one (as I had originally thought)! Thank you so much...I can't tell you how excited I am to be among the vector artists at DA. It's not the easiest thing in the world to learn, but it can be extremely rewarding once you do.
This is just beautiful, Jean!!
Thank you. Wish I had more smarts in the vector area, but I'll keep on trying! Glad you like.
Amazing inkscape work!
Thank you so much! Your work has been an inspiration to me. I love that your images are always so bright and cheerful, breezy and relaxed. You do good stuff! I appreciate the , too.
Ohhh, I love this Jean, it's so sweet and beautiful
Thanks! I put a LOT of time into this, but I don't think it shows it...maybe I'll get better at this someday.
It's Wonderful Jean.
Thanks very much...it was a difficult challenge for me to use vector applications, but I finally learned a few things.
Love, LOVE this Jean!!!
Thank you so much for the compliment and fave, Anita. I think of vector art as a lot of effort for scant results, lol! But it surely is a challenge, and I do want to learn more about it. It's sort of fun in a crazy way!
This is such a fun piece, great work
Thank you very much for the nice compliment! It took such a long time to do, though. I am working on another scene which is taking even longer! (wish I knew what I was doing...)
It needs a frog in there... and then I could see it on a Peace Frogs t-shirt.
I thought about putting a frog in there, because I've got lots of them. But I was working on a frog and pond scene and thought it might be "overkill" frog-wise! I haven't posted the frog scene yet.
really magic art
Wow! This is great, Jean! I just can't get the hang of Inkscape myself.
Thank you very much for the nice comment and , Jenn. Inkscape is a BEAR! I have been inching my way through the tutorial and also experimenting. I knew a bit about layers and objects through Photoshop, but Inkscape is better in some ways, more versatile. But it is hard, hard, hard to learn. If I stick with it (and I will, if I like the results!), maybe I'll catch on one of these days!
This is so pretty! the detail is perfect and well orginized...very happy and cheery too!
Thank you very much for that nice comment and . I'm glad you enjoy looking at this!
This is wonderful! Striking, charming and excellent!
Thank you very much for the wonderful comment and , Linda. I really worked on this, but still am not entirely satisfied. Maybe one of these days I'll get one to look the way I want it to!
Wow, this came out really nice Jean. I love how you always like to experiment in all the art forms!
Thanks, Lori. I almost didn't post this one, though. It's still not quite "right" and I'm not sure how to change it. One of the nice things about working in layers or vector objects is that you can change things at will, and no one will be the wiser! But I can't think of anything more to add or subtract on this particular piece....I'll just leave it be for now! Glad you like it.
This is very sweet and magical
very cool composition. I like how you did your stars, I always seem to be able to mess them up and not even try. So, I don't try..
Thank you! Stars are really HARD to do right. I wasn't too happy with mine here, either...I figured the best way to do them was to vary the shape, size and brightness...but even so, they still look "not quite right." It's a challenge!
Thank you! I have to chuckle that vector art is so darned hard, takes so much time, and in the end, you get a "cartoon", in effect. But I have a feeling that much more can be done with it, so I'm going to try hard to master it.
