That is a very unusual colour combination you have gone for there!! Any particular reason why? :)

Yes! The fractal program I used to create this has about 15 or 20 gradients. Many of them have wildly improbable color combinations that I just didn't like at all. They're just LOUD. This gradient had a lot of warm colors in it and it reminded me of a desert sunset. In fact, the name of the gradient is "Arizona." So that's about it....I'm not too crazy about the gradients that come with various fractal softwares and I like to create my own. Since I couldn't do that with ChaosPro, I just made some adjustments to the existing colors and applied them. Sadly, there was no way to save the changes.

Thank you very much! I'm so glad you like it. I'm fairly new with these 3D fractal forms. They're a lot of fun to develop, but it's really quite difficult to get something nice. I've experimented with shapes, forms and colors for days on end before I get something that's even half-way nice! :)

Beautiful! Love the gradient, and it looks so much like a doorknob!  :-)

Thank you! That was just another crazy form that evolved, and I had to name it, sooo....knob seemed OK. That's the problem with quats, you can't just set out to create a cat image or something like that. You have to accept the limitations of the program. But that's OK.

Well, I think I'll turn in. Starting to get a wee bit sleepy here, as it's midnight. It must be about 8 PM your time, still too early to turn in. So I'll say goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite! Hope you have a good evening, and I'll see you tomorrow. :sleepy:

Hmmm...........that is a problem..............especially if you want the exact same colour again as it is often very hard to achieve. I have found that same problem when trying to mix paints together..........very often I dont mix enough and end up running out!! Its almost impossible to mix that exact same colour again!! It can be extremely frustrating. Its nice to know that there is some logic behind your colour combinations rather than just choosing them because they look 'pretty'!! :)
